We came for the All-You-Can-Eat Cornbeef & Cabbage plus more. I had a fantastic experience at Tavern 13 last night! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and the flavors were incredible. The atmosphere at Tavern is also great. We ate outside with our child under the heated tent, which we loved. It's a lively and fun place to be, but it's not too loud so you can still have a conversation. The bar is also well-stocked with a wide variety of drinks, so there's something for everyone. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat and drink with friends. I will def will be back especially on St. Patrick’s Day! 5 ⭐️

Do not judge a book by it's cover. Fantastic wings! Please try the garlic buffalo wings. They are fantastic. Cassie was one of the best waitresses we've had in a while. And she dealt with 7 kids (5 of them under 5 years old).

This is the second time I've been to Tavern 23 and the friendly hello from Zoe behind the bar made my wife and I feel welcome right away. We started of with an order of Buffalo Wings, of which were prepared to perfection. Our meals consisted of a perfectly cooked Bacon Cheddar Barbecue Burger and the Fisherman's Platter. It was nice to run into Jenn while we were there as well. Above all, you will really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and their outdoor dining. Try this hidden gem in the city of Poughkeepsie !!

My first time. While the decor was standard Irish pub bar-sign-style, the food was elevated. I had a delicious, healthy, seared tuna Cobb Salad and a great cocktail. The staffers never left us wanting and were attentive and personable. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent food, good beer selection, friendly service! Our family if 9 stopped at Tavern 23 for dinner in October 2024, after spending a day on Walkway Over The Hudson and in Berean park. We chose Tavern 23 based on good reviews and appealing food and beer selection. We made the right choice! All the food ordered was flavorful, fresh, and overall excellent. Steaks and burgers were done to the heat level ordered. We got some interesting beers on tap like New England Hazy IPA, Toasted Pumpkin cider, Key Lime Pie cider. We were seated outside to accommodate 9 people. Sheila, our waitress, was super nice and friendly and helped making overall visit highly enjoyable. It was a great finish after the foliage hiking day. Thanks Sheila and Tavern 23! We highly recommend Tavern 23 if you are looking for good quality American cuisine in Poughkeepsie! Appetizers Street Tacos - steak pieces were tender and the sauce on top was a perfect match! Honey BBQ Wings - excellent. Were gone in no time. Beech Brie - delicious! In addition to warm brie and crostini there was a soft, melting in the mouth roasted garlic. We loved it. Entrees 14oz grilled NY strip - flavorful, juicy, cooked perfectly! Fish -N- Chips - fresh and flakey! Grilled Salmon - salmon was rightly cooked, not dry. Tavern Burger - juicy and sizzling! Braised short rib with Mushrooms - the meat was tender and soft, the mushroom sauce was good though a bit over salted. Grilled Swordfish over Olive Tomato Risotto & Spinach - excellent. Caesar Salad - as it should be.

Best Bartenders ever. Friendly and fast. The Reuben was delicious. Tater Tots were super hot and super perfect. Local patrons were also kind and social. One of the best neighborhood hole in the wall bar ever!!!! I can't wait to visit again.

My Aunt, cousin, & I went to Tavern 23 otherwise known as T23 & we had a wonderful time. It was Friday night around 5:40 pm and we were offered our choice of inside or outdoor seating. We chose outside up on the deck and it was beautiful. I wish I had taken a video. The bistro lights and overall ambiance were magical. This place is a hidden gem in Poughkeepsie. Our waitress was fun & spunky. The owner now produces her own canned hard ice t and other flavor beverages. My Aunt had one and loved it. The food was all delicious. The nachos were huge - a full sheet pan heaping. Would highly recommend these to share or if you want leftovers to take home for yourself. I would try the tuna protein option over the Thai noodles in place of the steak next time. Perfect portion. We did not have dessert. Couldn’t fit it. We were too full in a good way.

Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Good drinks. A small place you could easily drive by but if you know, you know and you won't regret dropping by for some good eats and adult beverages. They also do a fun trivia night. Bartenders personalities also add to the vibe which is usually upbeat and fun.

The food at Tavern 23 is tasty, fresh, and full of flavor. I got the steak salad and wings both were delicious. The staff is genuinely friendly and accommodating, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A special shout-out to Jessi... she’s absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere, very cozy and family friendly. Upon arrival I was greeted by Jess and the girls they made me feel so welcomed, I felt that fit right in. Nice and clean, staff were very professional and helpful. Thank you Jess for making me feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite and a drink. Plenty of parking and outdoor dining. I recommend the Lobster roll and the Paloma cocktail.
